Bayern Munich central defender Dayot Upamecano has addressed questions about his future. The 27-year-old French footballer’s current contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire at the end of June 2026.
As a result, he could become a free agent after the current season. In a recent interview, Upamecano was asked whether he would like to play at the club level with his national teammate Ousmane Dembélé.
“Of course, why not? But we’re not in a hurry,” he said.
The central defender also commented on the possibility of extending his contract. “Am I ready to stay at Bayern?”
“Yes, of course,” Upamecano emphasized during an interview with Telefoot. Earlier, there were rumors in the media suggesting that the player was close to reaching an agreement with Real Madrid.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Dembélé’s current club, is also mentioned among the contenders reportedly showing interest in Upamecano. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
