Records for the fastest goal of the season in the English Premier League are being repeatedly broken. At the end of November, Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden scored in the 59th second against Leeds, becoming the record holder for the fastest goal of the season at that time.
However, shortly after, Newcastle player Malik Thiaw broke the record, scoring in the 52nd second during a match against Everton on the same day. On Saturday, December 13, another record was set: Liverpool forward Hugo Ekitike struck in the 46th second against Brighton.
But the record did not last long: the next day, West Ham player Mateusz Fernandes set a new mark by scoring in the 29th second during a match against Aston Villa, setting the season's fastest goal record. Breaking this record is becoming increasingly challenging each time.
