Japan national team defender Takehiro Tomiyasu is set to sign a contract with the Dutch club Ajax until the end of the current football season. Insider Fabrizio Romano reported this via social media.
It is worth noting that Tomiyasu became a free agent in the summer of 2025. He has played for London’s Arsenal since 2022 but has barely appeared on the field over the past year due to injuries.
The player is expected to fly to Amsterdam on Tuesday, December 16, to undergo a medical examination and sign his employment contract with his new team. Tomiyasu is 27 years old.
