Verdict Announced in Liverpool Championship Parade Tragedy

The court ruling has been announced regarding the vehicle collision during Liverpool's championship parade. According to ESPN, the defendant has been sentenced to 21 years and 6 months in prison.

The incident occurred at the end of May when a car drove into a crowd of fans celebrating the club's championship victory. Police quickly identified the suspect, who was confirmed as a 53-year-old British citizen.

Law enforcement authorities immediately clarified that the incident was not related to terrorism. During court hearings in September, former Royal Marines serviceman Paul Doyle denied all charges.

However, in November, he changed his stance and admitted responsibility for the incident. As a result of the car collision, 134 people were injured.

Nevertheless, the charges were specifically brought forward based on episodes involving 29 victims.
