
Newcastle forward Nick Woltemade shared his thoughts on his failed transfer to Bayern Munich. The Munich club attempted to sign the player last summer while he was playing for Stuttgart.
However, the clubs could not reach an agreement. Shortly after, Newcastle came forward with a much more lucrative offer, which Stuttgart accepted.
“When it became clear that the Bayern transfer wouldn’t happen, I told myself, ‘Alright, so be it.’ Nothing in life happens without a reason, and my failed transfer to Bayern is a clear example of that.
Now I’m happy at Newcastle. After all, none of this might have happened otherwise. Looking back, I’m glad things turned out exactly this way,” Woltemade said in an interview with Sport Bild.
