Graham Souness, who has managed several clubs in England, criticized Manchester United's transfer policy. According to Souness, the club spent a significant amount of money on Manuel Ugarte and offered excessively high wages to Casemiro.
The expert pointed out that Manchester United sold their best player: "They sold the best — Scott McTominay. He was stronger than both of them."
"After moving to Napoli, he has further developed," Souness's comments were quoted by *The Daily Mail*. McTominay left the Red Devils in the summer of 2024 to join Napoli.
Since then, the Scottish midfielder has appeared in 57 matches for the Italian club, scoring 18 goals and providing 9 assists. After 16 rounds of the Premier League, Manchester United currently sits sixth in the standings with 26 points.
