No Milan Clubs in Italian Super Cup Final for First Time in Five Years


The Italian Super Cup final will not feature any team from Milan for the first time in five years. This became evident after Bologna defeated Inter in a penalty shootout during the second semifinal.

Earlier, Napoli secured their spot in the final by defeating Milan 2-0. Thus, the trophy will be contested between Bologna and Napoli, managed by Antonio Conte.

In 2021 and 2023, Inter reached the decisive match, while the finals in 2022 and 2024 featured Milan derbies. In the most recent Milan derby last year, Milan defeated Inter 3-2 to claim the trophy.
