French commentator Tangi Le Sevillier has shared his thoughts on the future of Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov at PSG. "Safonov performed well, and had he not broken his hand, he likely would have continued playing as goalkeeper.
However, now Chevalier is returning: he is gradually regaining his athletic form and will be ready to step onto the field in the game against Paris. I think, overall, Chevalier will be the primary goalkeeper in an 80/20 ratio, but if he makes mistakes, this ratio could shift to around 55/45," the journalist's words were quoted by the publication "Euro-Football.Ru."
Safonov was recently named the best player in the Intercontinental Cup match (1:1) against Flamengo. In the penalty shootout, the Russian goalkeeper saved four shots, securing victory for the Parisian team.
