"It Was True Horror": Florenzi Reveals Opponent Tougher Than Ronaldo and Messi

Former defender of the Italian national team, as well as "Milan" and "Roma" clubs, Alessandro Florenzi, named the toughest opponent he faced during his career. The 34-year-old former footballer stated that playing against Ivan Perišić was even more challenging than facing Ronaldo and Messi.

"I have played against Ronaldo and Messi – they are truly deserving of great respect. But the most difficulty I ever had was against another player – I am talking about Perišić.

He could easily go to the right or left – it made no difference to him. And he never stopped moving.

This was true horror," noted Florenzi, as quoted by the Italian media. Florenzi retired earlier this year.

Ivan Perišić played in Italy for "Inter." Currently, the 36-year-old Croatian footballer plays for PSV in the Netherlands.
