Sevilla defender Marcao has received a serious punishment from the disciplinary committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation. According to Marca, Marcao was banned for six matches for his actions in the away game against Real. After being sent off, the Brazilian footballer insulted the referee with foul language. The harshest part of the sanction was imposed specifically for insulting and verbally attacking the official. As a result, Marcao was suspended for four matches.
