Galli says Milan’s defence needs Thiago Silva’s experience

Former Milan defender Filippo Galli said he regrets that the club failed to add Thiago Silva to the squad. Although the experienced Brazilian returned to Europe, he unexpectedly chose Porto rather than Milan. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.

In Galli’s view, Milan’s current defence cannot be considered fully settled: the team lacks an experienced centre-back who can deliver reliable performances in difficult situations. “A player like Thiago Silva is exactly what this team needs,” La Gazzetta dello Sport quotes him as saying.

As a reminder, Milan are currently second in the Serie A standings.
