The orange ball used in Serie A has not been well received by many within the league, and organizers are planning to abandon it. The ball, introduced as a solution for the winter period when visibility worsens, is said not to have delivered the expected benefits in practice. This is reported by euro-football.rureports.
Starting next season, Italy’s top flight will once again use balls in classic colors: white or yellow. Lega Calcio president Ezio Maria Simonelli also commented on the matter.
“We received a very large number of requests on this issue, including from people who have difficulty distinguishing colors (color blindness). Unfortunately, changing the situation and returning to the old colors takes time. Back to white or yellow,” Simonelli said.
As a reminder, the current Italian champion is Napoli, while AC Milan’s Inter are leading the table this season.
