Oscar Damiani expects more Italians in Serie A in 2026

Former Italian footballer Oscar Damiani shared his thoughts on what he expects from Italian football in 2026. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.

According to him, Napoli stood out as the brightest team of 2025. Damiani wants the number of Italian players in Serie A club squads to increase next season.

"There are too many foreign players in the league. I understand it's globalization, but I'm still more used to traditional values," calcionapoli1926.it quotes Damiani as saying.

To recall, Damiani played in the Italian league from 1968 to 1986 and also featured for clubs such as Juventus and Milan during his career. In 1974, he made two appearances for the Italy national team.
