Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford will not join Newcastle. Journalist Craig Hope reported this. This is reported by euro-football.rureports.

According to the source, Newcastle have abandoned the idea of signing the 23-year-old keeper due to his very high wages. The Magpies may now consider Real Sociedad goalkeeper Álex Remiro or Borussia Dortmund’s Gregor Kobel.

This season Newcastle have used two goalkeepers. Aaron Ramsdale has played 11 matches in all competitions, conceded 14 goals and kept just one clean sheet. Nick Pope has conceded 17 goals in 17 appearances and recorded eight clean sheets.
