Kevin Kampl leaves RB Leipzig after brother’s death

Midfielder Kevin Kampl has ended his cooperation with RB Leipzig. The German club’s website reported that the Slovenian player’s contract has been terminated. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
The 35-year-old Kampl decided to take a break from his football career after the death of his older brother.
“I was very happy in Leipzig and I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved. I don’t completely rule out the possibility of returning to the pitch one day, although right now it doesn’t seem realistic at all,” the player said via the club’s press service.
Kampl has played for RB Leipzig since 2017. Over eight and a half years, he made 283 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 23 assists.
