In recent weeks, Brazilian David Neres, one of Napoli’s key leaders, picked up an injury at an unfortunate time. The player, hoping to be called up to the national team ahead of the World Cup, was injured midway through the second half of the match against Rome’s Lazio. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
After the injury, Neres was unable to continue immediately, and the coaching staff were forced to make a substitution. He left the pitch under the supervision of Napoli’s medical staff, and the severity of the injury is still unknown.
As a reminder, Neres previously played for Amsterdam’s Ajax and Lisbon’s Benfica. He joined Napoli in the summer of 2024.
