Prudnikov says FIFA could move 2026 World Cup matches from the US

Former Spartak Moscow player Aleksandr Prudnikov, amid the situation in Venezuela, did not rule out the possibility that 2026 World Cup matches could be moved from the United States to another country. euro-football.ru reportsreports.
In his view, the public may oppose holding the games in the US, and therefore FIFA will consider staging the matches in another country as an alternative. Prudnikov’s comments were quoted by Match TV.
As a reminder, the 2026 World Cup is scheduled for next summer and is set to be hosted by three North American countries — the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The current reigning world champion is Argentina’s national team.
