Former Bayern Munich player Lothar Matthäus commented on talented midfielder Lennart Karl’s remarks about wanting to play for Real Madrid in the future. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to Matthäus, such a statement is a big goal and a bold step for the 17-year-old: it’s not a bad thing that he has created a buzz. In his view, it’s natural that a player doesn’t keep saying he will stay at Bayern forever—having a dream is normal. Matthäus noted that Karl showed ambition and confidence, adding that to attract Real’s attention he first needs to perform consistently and at a high level in Munich.
The midfielder’s current contract runs until the summer of 2028. Karl’s transfer value is estimated at €60 million.
