Ronaldo’s posts criticized for not matching his on-field performance

Former Al Nassr player Hussein Al-Sulaymoni shared a critical view of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo’s on-field performances. He said that while Ronaldo’s social media activity draws a lot of attention, the player needs to show himself more on the pitch.

According to Al-Sulaymoni, Ronaldo, as captain and leader, should bring more value to the team. Recalling his youth, he said he prefers to watch not how someone looked in history or online, but how useful they are for the team right now.

“Everyone sees his social media posts. But I’d like to see the work not on the internet, but more on the football pitch. Ronaldo, as captain and leader, has to do more. He’s an important player who must make the difference on the field. What happened before doesn’t matter. That’s history now. What matters is how much he is helping the team today,” Al-Sulaymoni said.

For the record, Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January 2023. This season, the Portuguese star has played 13 matches and scored 14 goals. This highlights that his current actions on the pitch matter more than the glory of his youth and certain stages of his career.

Meanwhile, some analysts in Saudi Arabia continue to share new opinions about Ronaldo’s status and influence at Al Nassr. His impact on social media is undeniable, but his practical contribution to the club is closely assessed through on-field results.
