Salah comments on Egypt’s win over Côte d’Ivoire

Egypt national team forward Mohamed Salah shared his thoughts after the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final against Côte d’Ivoire (3–2). He said he was happy to be able to work on the pitch alongside the players and highlighted the team’s winning spirit and unity.
According to Salah, it was a very difficult and intense match. In previous tournaments, the Ivorians won the Africa Cup on home soil, and this time they also played like champions. However, the Egyptians mobilized all their strength and resources and managed to secure an important victory over their opponents.
The 33-year-old said he is trying to show his best qualities for the team in every minute. He always advises his teammates to step onto the pitch from the first minute and give everything so they won’t regret it later. Salah’s mindset and effective actions took the team through to the next round.
"I’m very happy that we’ve reached the next stage. I always play giving everything for my team. I try to use my experience so we can achieve big goals. I always tell my teammates: go out there and give everything from the first minute. It’s very important—then there’s no room for regret later," said the 33-year-old.
In today’s match, Mohamed Salah was named Man of the Match and also scored the winning goal. Egypt will face Senegal in the AFCON semi-final, and fans are following the team’s next steps with great interest.
