Striker Timo Werner is expected to sign a contract with MLS side San Jose Earthquakes in the coming days, euro-football.ru reports reports .
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the clubs have reached an agreement on the transfer, and all that remains is for the player to sign the paperwork.
The contract length and financial details have not yet been disclosed. In the 2025/2026 season, Werner made only three appearances for Leipzig and recorded neither a goal nor an assist.
Last season he played on loan for London’s Tottenham, but he failed to score there as well.
In 2020, Werner’s market value was estimated at €80 million, but it has now dropped to €3 million. The player is 29.
