New defender for Lokomotiv: Australian Aleksandar Shushnyar joins

Lokomotiv, seriously preparing for the new Uzbekistan Super League season, have strengthened their defense with Australian footballer Aleksandar Shushnyar. He played for Newcastle Jets last season and will feature as Lokomotiv’s centre-back in 2026.

The 31-year-old Shushnyar stands 192 cm tall. In the ongoing Australian A-League season, he has appeared in 5 matches, and last season he played 23 games, recording one goal and one assist. Aleksandar’s strong performances and experience are expected to be an important addition for Lokomotiv.
