Russia national team drops three places in FIFA ranking

On Monday after the Africa Cup of Nations concluded, FIFA’s official website updated the national team rankings. Following the update, the Russia national team dropped three places at once, moving from 33rd to 36th. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

In the current ranking, Russia’s closest neighbors are Wales (35th) and Côte d’Ivoire (37th).

Valery Karpin’s team will hold its next training camp in late March. The opponents for the upcoming camp have not yet been announced. Due to UEFA and FIFA sanctions, the Russia national team currently plays only friendly matches, and the results of these games are also included in the FIFA ranking.
