Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany commented on 39-year-old striker Edin Dzeko’s move to Schalke. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
Kompany stressed that Dzeko still performing at a high level at this age is down to his professionalism. According to the coach, the topic is also frequently discussed within the team with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, and the key to staying in such shape for a long time is discipline and one’s attitude to the profession.
“At this stage, his transfer could be very important for Schalke. I wish him all the best,” Kompany said in an interview with the club’s press service.
It is worth recalling that Edin Dzeko and Vincent Kompany played together at Manchester City from 2011 to 2015.
