Jose Ignacio Ortega, a journalist for Spain’s EFE outlet, commented on the latest situation surrounding Arsen Zakharyan. Earlier reports said the midfielder is not part of Real Sociedad head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo’s plans. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to Ortega, Zakharyan has enough potential to play successfully in the Spanish league, but injuries and a lack of trust from the new coach are hindering his development.
“Right now, a loan move would be beneficial for him, but he shouldn’t leave the club permanently. It’s better for Zakharyan to stay in Spain — he can still turn things around in La Liga,” Metaratings.ru quotes Ortega as saying.
This season, the 22-year-old has made 16 appearances and scored 1 goal. Zakharyan’s contract with Real Sociedad runs until the summer of 2029.
