PSG head coach Luis Enrique commented on two club players — Senegalese winger Ibraima Mbaye and Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
Both players took part in the Africa Cup of Nations: Hakimi recovered from injury, reached the final with Morocco and finished the tournament with a silver medal. Mbaye, meanwhile, became continental champion with Senegal.
According to Enrique, Hakimi has returned to the team and is in decent condition. The coach wants to speak with the player before training to find out how he feels, after which a decision will be made on whether to include him in the squad for the upcoming match.
The specialist also stressed that returning from international duty is always a positive thing. He said he is especially happy for Mbaye, adding that the young winger played a lot both for PSG and at the Africa Cup of Nations, which boosted his experience and will help him mature faster.
The 27-year-old Hakimi played 5 matches at the tournament and provided 1 assist. The 17-year-old Mbaye scored 1 goal in 6 games.
