What did Janis Leri say about Uzbek football and his beliefs in Islam?

French foreign player Janis Leri, who joined the "Khorezm" club, gave an interview to the club's press service. During the interview, he answered questions from the club's press service as follows:

- At what age did you start playing football?

- I started playing football at the age of 5. I used to play in the "Livri." It is my home in Paris.

- What do you think about Uzbek football?

- I think that the level of football in Uzbekistan is at a good level. True, the country's football is different from that of Spain and France, but I'm eagerly awaiting the start of the new season. Team members are helping me adapt to this place. In this respect, it is easier for me to get used to it. To be honest, I don't speak English much, but I didn't have any difficulties finding common ground with my teammates.

- Which players are you getting along with quickly?

- I'm having a little conversation with everyone. I communicate more with Logan and Fabinho because they can speak Portuguese, and I know Spanish. Since the two languages are close to each other, it is convenient to exchange ideas.

- How many goals have you scored during your career?

- I don't know for sure, but in my time at Saint-Étienne there are more of them. If I'm not mistaken, I scored in my last game at Logroëns. I still remember my goals for Saint-Étienne, they remain vivid memories.

- What is the most difficult part of adapting to a new country?

- The most difficult thing is the language issue. Because I don't know Uzbek.

- What are your thoughts on the "Khorezm" fans?

- It's good that there are many fans who support us. This provides psychological support in every game.

- Were there any offers from other teams during the transfer window?

- There was also an invitation from Qatar, but the matter was not definitively resolved. But I wanted to come to "Khorezm." Without observing other teams, I chose this option.

- Do you believe in Islam?

- Of course.

- In which position is it convenient for you to play?

- It's convenient for me to play as a winger. Let's say it's not easy, it's good.

- Tell me about your purpose.

- My goal is to help the team more;

- scoring goals and providing assists;

- to score against the opponents during the game, effectively using favorable situations;

- to help my team win by utilizing my available resources.
