Bayern's sporting director postponed his statement about Kane's contract

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has once again spoken out about the talks over a new deal with Harry Kane. In January, he said that there was progress between the parties on a new deal, giving fans the impression that "it will be signed soon." However, his latest statements suggest that the situation is not so urgent.
According to Goal, Eberl clarified his previous statements: "I said that we are in contact, but not yet directly negotiating a contract. We are in regular contact with Harry - everything will be clear soon." That is, on the one hand, the relationship is good, but on the other hand, it has not yet reached the stage of "a contract on the table."
In this situation, fans naturally ask: so, was the talk in January just a diplomatic signal? Or has the club not yet fully matured its internal decision on the terms, financial details and future plans? Perhaps Eberl is also speaking more cautiously now, so as not to overheat the situation. Because in a club like Bayern, every word is a headline, and every headline is pressure.
For your information, Harry Kane's current contract with Bayern runs until the summer of 2027. So, there is time, no need to panic. But the important thing for the club is this: Kane is the team's current main "goal machine", his mood and future plans affect the fate of the entire attacking line.
The Transfermarkt portal estimates the transfer value of the 32-year-old Englishman at 65 million euros. This figure also shows that Kane is still a very valuable resource on the market: despite his age of 32, his statistics are "more ferocious" than those of 22-year-old forwards.
Because this season, Harry Kane scored 38 goals in 33 games and made 5 assists. In short, when he is on the field, the opponent's goal will not sleep peacefully. That is why the management of Bayern does not consider this issue as a "one-day job": a new contract is not just a signature, it is the club's offensive strategy for the next two to three years.
Now the most interesting thing: Eberl said that "everything will be clear soon." And the fans, as usual, understood without an interpreter: this means that soon either the news will come out that "everything has been agreed" or the classic series of "we still have to wait" will continue. But one thing is certain - Kane himself is saying his mind on the field, and the rest will be decided in the offices.
