Mubarak's FC Mash'al is continuing to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season. The club's management has officially announced the addition of another new force to the defensive line: a contract has been signed with Russian central defender Roman Khodjaev.
The 191-centimeter-tall player is distinguished by his physical strength, especially in aerial duels. A defender of this profile can be a big plus for the team, especially in standard situations and against tall opponent forwards.
It is reported that Roman Khodjaev has Russian and Ukrainian citizenship. He has played for a number of teams during his career. In particular, it was noted that he defended the honor of clubs such as Torpedo Vladimir and Molodechno-2018.
There is also an interesting point from a transfer point of view: according to the Transfermarkt portal, the player's transfer value is estimated at around 100 thousand euros. Khodjaev joined Mashal as a free agent. That is, the club did not pay him a transfer fee, but added him to the squad through a contract.
The club's goal is clear: through this transfer, to increase stability in defense, strengthen competition, and form a competitive squad for the new season. Because if you want to achieve high results in the championship, first of all, the back line must be "concrete".
