Barcelona president Joan Laporta has clarified the biggest transfer rumors surrounding Lamin Yamal. He said that two years ago, PSG offered the Catalan club a huge sum of €250 million for the young winger, but Barça firmly rejected the offer.
"PSG offered us €250 million for Lamin Yamal two years ago. We refused. "She was 17 years old then - some thought we were crazy!" said Laporta.
Laporta's words mean that the club's management sees Yamal not just as a talented player, but as the "face of the future." No matter how much money there was, he didn't want to let such a player slip away.
For information, Lamin Yamal has been playing for Barcelona's first team since April 2023. He made his debut for the senior team at the age of 15 years and 290 days, one of the names that shone very early in Spanish football.
