Pakhtakor opened the renovated arena with a victory and three points

In the first round of the Uzbekistan Super League, Tashkent's Pakhtakor hosted Navoi's Qizilqum and started the new season successfully. The Lions demonstrated patience, pressure, and discipline throughout the match, defeating their opponent 2-0. Thus, the capital's club concluded its first official match in the renovated stadium with a victory, bringing joy to its fans.
The meeting, as expected, began in an intense and uncompromising spirit. From the very first minutes, Pakhtakor, as the home team, sought to seize the initiative, maintain possession, and keep the opponent under pressure in their own penalty area. "Qizilqum," on the other hand, tried to respond with organized defense and counterattacks. Therefore, the scoreboard remained tied for most of the match.
The first goal, which decided the match, was scored in the 75th minute. At that very moment, Dostonbek Hamdamov opened the scoring with an unexpected shot, putting "Pakhtakor" ahead. This goal not only brought relief to the hosts but also allowed them to control the game more calmly. Because as time passed, "Qizilqum" was forced not to maintain the record, but to save it.
The final score of the match was set in stoppage time. In the 90+3rd minute, Polish forward Petr Pajicek scored once again, putting an end to the match. His goal officially secured Pakhtakor's victory, securing the full three points for the hosts. The goals scored by two substitute players - Doston Hamdamov and Pajishek - also showed that the coaches' decision was correct.
It might be a bit harsh to say that Pakhtakor had a complete advantage in this match, but the team stood out throughout the game for patiently waiting for the situation, waiting for an opportunity, and striking at the right moment. This is a quality characteristic of large teams - the ability to fight for results even when not everything is working out.
"Qizilqum" has not completely surrendered in this match either. The Navoi team tried to act systematically in defense, and in some situations, they even attempted to pose a threat with counterattacks. However, in the decisive moments of the match, Pakhtakor's experience, pressure, and activity after substitutions made a difference. As a result, the visitors were forced to start the new season with a defeat.
During the meeting, only one warning was recorded. Asror G'ofurov received a yellow card in the 70th minute for Qizilqum. This also shows that although the game was generally full of fierce battles, it did not go out of control.
