The 28th round of the English Premier League continued with a number of interesting results. In one of the most highlighted matches of the day, Manchester United secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace at home, climbing to third place in the league table. The Manchester club has returned to the top three for the first time since May 2023 with 51 points after 28 rounds.
The match didn't start easily for United. Crystal Palace opened the scoring in the 4th minute with a goal from Maxence Lacroix. However, in the second half, the game changed completely. First, Bruno Fernandes accurately converted the penalty in the 57th minute. In this episode, Lacroix was sent off for a foul against Mateus Cunha. Eight minutes later, Benjamin Sheshko scored the winning goal with a header after a pass from Fernandes. Thus, the Portuguese midfielder became the main hero of his team with a goal and an assist, while Sheshko continued his productive streak.
