Atletico Madrid has no intention of selling Julian Alvarez

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has put an end to rumors regarding the future of team striker Julian Alvarez. Recently, reports have circulated about growing interest in the Argentine footballer from Arsenal and Barcelona. However, the Madrid club's management has no intention of letting their star go. Reports goal.com.

Cerezo emphasized that Alvarez is one of the most important players in the club's long-term project. "He is our player and has a valid contract. He is not for sale," the club president stated firmly. Thus, the Madrid side announced that they would reject any negotiations regarding the player during the summer transfer window.

This season, the 26-year-old striker has scored 14 goals and provided 6 assists in all competitions. His solid performance helped Atletico reach the Spanish Cup final and compete successfully in the Champions League. Club director Mateu Alemany also confirmed that there have been no discussions with other teams regarding Alvarez.

At the moment, Atletico is striving to maintain stability in the squad. Although the Alvarez issue has been declared closed, rumors surrounding another team leader, Antoine Griezmann, continue. However, the club's management prefers to focus only on the decisive stages of the season for now.
