In the second round of the Super League, Nasaf defeated Sogdiana 2-0 in Jizzakh. Following the match, head coach Ro'ziqul Berdiyev participated in the press conference and commented on the game plan, defensive discipline, and effectiveness in counter-attacks.
Berdiyev emphasized the team's defensive line. According to him, Sogdiana has strong individual forwards, and even a moment's weakening of focus against such an opponent could make the game difficult. Therefore, the coaching staff has set clear tasks for the defenders, and this task, in Berdiyev's words, has been very well accomplished today.
"Our guys played attentively in defense. It wasn't easy against strong individual forwards. "Our defenders performed well today," he said.
At the same time, Berdiyev said that "Nasaf's" game was not limited to defense. In his opinion, the team also appeared quite effective in counterattacks. There were several dangerous situations in the first half, and two of those episodes ended in goals, which became the decisive factor for the victory.
The coach emphasized that "Nasaf" played a game worthy of a victory today, and the three points were a completely fair result for the team.
In short, according to Berdiyev's assessment, Nasaf did two things correctly in this match: firstly, they didn't lose discipline in defense, and secondly, they didn't kill opportunities in counter-attacks. The result is natural: returning from Jizzakh with a convincing victory.
