Uzbek boxers record consecutive victories in Bangkok

The international youth boxing tournament "Futures Cup" is in full swing in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. It is gratifying that both of our national teams are participating in this competition, and our guys are showing a strong character in the ring. Yesterday's program featured fights for five of our representatives. Most of them ended in victory.
In the -55 kg weight category, Bekzod Ismailjonov entered the ring against Colombian Ruben Nagles and decided the match "without much discussion." Our compatriot gave his opponent almost no chance and secured a convincing victory with a score of 5:0. This result further increases Ismailjonov's confidence in the tournament and means that there are high expectations from him in the next stage.
Another bright result of the day is associated with the name of Saidkhoja Sadillakhojayev. He advanced to the next round by knocking out Paraguayan Ian Berthomeyer in the second round. A technical knockout is not just a victory, but a clear manifestation of strength, preparation, and dominance in the ring.
Abdugani Yorkinjonov is consistently continuing his journey in this tournament. He also won his next fight: in the -50 kg weight category, he defeated Italian Imad Bouraouiani with a score of 5:0 and reached the quarterfinals. This means that Yorkinjonov is now getting closer to the fight for medals.
Unfortunately, not all battles ended as we wanted. In the -60 kg weight category, Bobomurod Boymirzayev lost to Doszhan Zhumakhan from Kazakhstan by judges' decision with a score of 1:4 and bid farewell to the competition. This tournament is a great school of experience. For Boymirzayev, this defeat will also serve to draw the necessary conclusions for him in subsequent starts.
Another victory in yesterday's program was recorded in the -65 kg weight category. Ibrahim Shokirjonov easily defeated the host country's boxer Nattajakkapan Ditpo - 5:0. Beating an opponent at home with such a convincing score is always of particular value, as there will also be spectator pressure.
Thus, in four of yesterday's 5 fights, our boxers won, and one ended in defeat. This was reported by the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan.
In short, at the Futures Cup in Bangkok, Uzbek youth showed good momentum: 5:0, technical knockout, reaching the quarter-finals - all this shows that our team's preparation is not bad. Now the main thing is to maintain this spirit and this intensity in subsequent stages.
