At a press conference following the Nasaf vs. Surkhon match (0:1) in the 4th round of the Super League, the visiting team's interim head coach, Anvar G'ofurov, shared his thoughts.
The coach, first of all, noted that the match was very difficult and responsible. According to him, "Nasaf" is one of the strong and experienced teams that has its place not only in Uzbekistan, but also on a continental scale. Despite the large number of young players in the opposition, it was especially noted that they regularly demonstrate a high level of performance.
G'ofurov praised the work of the opposing team's head coach, Ro'ziqul Berdiyev, and expressed his respect for him. He also openly stated that he personally likes Nasaf as a fan.
The coach emphasized that the Qarshi team is one of those clubs that always strives to perform well in the Asian arena, particularly in the AFC Champions League. Therefore, playing against such an opponent is always a big test.
In conclusion, Gafurov acknowledged that luck played a crucial role in today's victory. In his opinion, the team earned important three points not only through discipline and effort, but also through the support of luck.
