"Bayern" are showing strong interest in "Newcastle" midfielder Sandro Tonali, according to Shields Gazette. The German champions reportedly view the Italy international as a priority option as they look to strengthen the center of midfield ahead of next season.
The report says "Bayern" believe Tonali could become a long-term replacement for Leon Goretzka in their squad. Interest in the 24-year-old is not limited to Germany, with earlier reports also linking him with "Juventus", "Arsenal", "Manchester United" and "Manchester City".
Tonali's future may also depend on how "Newcastle" finish the season. There have already been suggestions that the Premier League club could consider selling the midfielder if they fail to secure qualification for European competition.
This season, Tonali has made 29 Premier League appearances for "Newcastle" and provided two assists. While no formal move has been announced, his name is increasingly being discussed as one of the notable midfield options in the upcoming transfer market.
