“As soon as we arrived, we spent several hours at the airport, and I have never experienced such inspections in my life. This situation created additional difficulties for our entire team,” Deschamps said.
The coach also noted issues regarding climate and weather conditions, emphasizing that everything was moderate and stable. According to him, the main problems were known in advance and mainly related to departure times and movement arrangements. Being in Boston was particularly important for the team because that is exactly where they are scheduled to play in the World Cup.
Deschamps stressed that they are trying to minimize the likelihood of various problems and facilitate the adaptation process. “In summer, the weather will be quite hot, and recovery and preparation play an important role. We continue to adapt and use every opportunity to spend less energy on events outside the field,” Deschamps said, quoted by Goal.
