Uzbek boxers achieved mixed results at the Asian Championship

As you know, the city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, is currently hosting the Asian Senior Boxing Championship. A number of athletes from the Uzbek national team are participating in this prestigious competition, worthy of defending the honor of our country. This was reported by the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan.
Today's program included the fights of two of our compatriots, and they were in the center of attention of the fans.
Asilbek Jalilov, who entered the ring in the -50 kg weight category, fought against his Japanese opponent Daichi Iwai. The fight was quite intense and uncompromising. The Japanese boxer used all his abilities and showed serious resistance. Jalilov also tried hard, but could not decide the fate of the match in his favor. As a result, he lost 1:4 and was forced to leave the tournament.
Another compatriot of ours, Abdurakhmon Makhmudjonov, began his participation in the -60 kg weight category. He entered the ring in his first fight against Chinese Xinlin Chen. Our young and promising boxer was distinguished by his accurate, quick and effective blows throughout the fight. He completely gained the upper hand over his opponent and confidently won with a score of 5:0.
Thus, while one of our athletes left the tournament early, the other started with a victory, creating a good opportunity for the next stages. Fans are expecting even more victories in the next fights.
