Michael Owen specifically highlighted Gordon's versatility. According to him, signing a right-sided forward to replace Salah should be a priority, and Gordon can perform effectively both on the wings and centrally. Newcastle is not intending to let their star player go easily. Gordon's contract at St James' Park runs until 2030, which may lead the club to demand a transfer fee in the region of £75 million.
