Bayern Munich have made a final decision on the future of forward Nicolas Jackson, who is on loan from Chelsea. The Munich club's leadership has chosen not to exercise the option to sign the Senegalese player permanently for 65 million euros. This is reported by Goal.com reports.
The club's sporting director, Max Eberl, confirmed the information. According to him, the 24-year-old forward will return to Chelsea at the end of the current season.
The Munich side also does not intend to loan the player again.
Jackson has been effective this season as a backup to Harry Kane. He has made 29 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 4 assists.
In particular, experts had been struck by his scoring four goals in his last five matches.
Although Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany has praised the player's work ethic, the club's management has prioritized its financial strategy. Jackson's contract with Chelsea runs until 2033, and his successful performances in Germany are expected to attract interest from other European clubs.
