Ratkliff visits Manchester United training base

Manchester United interim head coach Michael Carrick said he met club owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe at the Carrington training base. The head of INEOS visited the team’s headquarters and had an informal conversation with the former midfielder. This was reported by Goal.com reports.
The meeting took place as the club was close to making a final decision on a new permanent manager.

Since taking control of football operations, Ratcliffe has been actively involved in the club’s life. Although he has not made any public promises about the future of the coaching staff, his visit to the training base suggests major changes.
According to Carrick, the meeting took place in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

“We talked over a cup of tea. It was just an informal meeting, and it was nice to see his support.
All parts of the club are closely connected, and I am trying to do my job as well,” Carrick said at a pre-match news conference ahead of the Brentford game.
The club’s management is currently looking for a new holding midfielder to replace Casemiro, a left-back and an experienced striker. However, no transfers will be made until a new manager is appointed.
This will allow the new specialist to shape the squad in line with his tactical vision.
Manchester United’s main goal is to finish the season in the top five and secure a Champions League place. A win over Brentford on Monday would strengthen the team’s position in the table and provide extra confidence ahead of the important clash against Liverpool.
