Arsenal parts ways with second player in summer transfer window

Premier League side Arsenal has confirmed its second departure of the summer transfer window via an official statement. The club has allowed goalkeeper Karl Hein to join Werder Bremen on a permanent basis. This move continues the squad clear-out policy that began earlier this month with the transfer of defender Jakub Kiwior to Porto. This is reported by Goal.com .

Estonian international goalkeeper Karl Hein will sign with the Bundesliga side in July. The 24-year-old goalkeeper joined the London club's academy in 2018 but struggled to secure a spot in the first team. Having spent last season on loan in Germany, the keeper now becomes a permanent member of the German club.

Arsenal expressed gratitude to the goalkeeper on its official website for his services: “We thank Karl for his contribution during his time at the club and wish him the best in his future career with Werder Bremen.” Hein's departure is the next step taken following the transfer of Jakub Kiwior.

Portuguese giants paid 17 million euros (plus 5 million euros in add-ons) for Polish defender Jakub Kiwior. Mikel Arteta must now reconsider the backup goalkeeper situation ahead of the new season. Selling fringe players allows the club to improve its financial position and clear space for new signings.
