Bayern Munich considers new candidates to strengthen their defensive line

Bayern Munich is forced to revise its plans for the summer transfer window. Initially, the club planned to sign a forward capable of playing on the left wing and in the center, as well as a full-back. However, the move of primary target Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for 80 million euros has changed the German club's plans. This is reported by Goal.com .
Currently, the club is focusing on strengthening its central defense. In recent weeks, Manchester City players John Stones and Josko Gvardiol have been linked with the Munich club. However, sporting director Max Eberl denied interest in John Stones. Instead, the club's management has begun exploring other serious candidates.
French defender Ibrahima Konate is expected to leave Liverpool as a free agent this summer. According to L'Equipe, Bayern will compete with Chelsea and Real Madrid for the player. Konate previously formed a solid tandem with Dayot Upamecano at RB Leipzig and for the France national team.
Although Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah are currently the main defenders at Bayern, the club's management wants to further expand the squad. Min-Jae Kim and Hiroki Ito could leave the team if a suitable offer arrives. With only Josip Stanisic remaining in reserve, the transfer of new defenders has become a priority for the club.
