“I don't know how much longer I will play. For now, I am not thinking about stopping, but I also cannot say exactly how long it will continue,” Neymar said. He also stressed that his main priority is to honor his agreement with Santos through to the end. According to the footballer, there is still plenty of time until December, and he is appreciating every day while making decisions based on the situation.

Physical condition and the impact of injuries

Neymar's early decision to end his Brazil career was influenced by disappointing results at the last World Cup and physical problems. Muscle injuries that troubled him during the tournament seriously affected his playing time, restricting him to just two appearances. Nevertheless, Brazil's all-time leading scorer said he currently feels physically well.

“I feel increasingly better on the pitch, and that is the most important thing. Even though I am in the final stage of my career, I always want to keep improving,” the footballer added.
