OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced on platform X that the company has completed development of its new AI language model, o3-mini. The model is set to launch in the coming weeks, alongside the release of its API and ChatGPT.
OpenAI unveiled the o3 and o3-mini models last December, describing them as the most advanced AI solutions in the world. These models surpass the capabilities of the o1 model introduced in September.
The o3-mini model is expected to launch by the end of January 2025, followed by the full-scale o3 model. These advancements aim to outperform existing neural networks, attract new investments, and grow OpenAI's user base.
