Apple Removes TikTok and Other ByteDance Apps from App Store

Following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling, TikTok ceased operations in the country on January 19. Apple subsequently released a list of ByteDance apps removed from its App Store.

In addition to TikTok, other popular ByteDance apps such as TikTok Studio, TikTok Shop Seller Center, CapCut, Lemon8, Hypic, Lark — Team Collaboration, Lark — Rooms Display, Lark Rooms Controller, Gauth: AI Study Companion, and Marvel Snap have also been removed.

Apple stated that it complies with the laws of jurisdictions where it operates. "Under the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversaries Act, ByteDance apps, including TikTok, CapCut, and Lemon8, will no longer be available for download or updates in the U.S. App Store starting January 19, 2025," the statement reads.

Additionally, visitors from other countries to the U.S. will not be able to update ByteDance apps or make purchases within them while in the country. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
