Spotify expands audiobook access to family plans in the U.S.

Spotify has officially expanded audiobook access to family plan members in the U.S. for the first time, according to TechCrunch.com.

Each member under the Spotify Family plan can now listen to up to 15 hours of audiobooks per month. Previously, this feature was limited to individual and duo plans only.

This move boosts Spotify’s competitiveness in the U.S. market, positioning it as a rival to Kindle and Audible in the audiobook space.

According to company representatives, Spotify offers thousands of audiobook titles that users can browse and listen to at their convenience.

Family plan members will be able to track and manage their listening hours through separate accounts.

Spotify plans to expand this feature to more countries in the future.
