Trump mentions American consumers in TikTok issue

U.S. President Donald Trump spoke on Friday about the ongoing situation surrounding TikTok.

He said there are American buyers willing to purchase the platform, and added that the White House is considering extending the deadline for ByteDance to sell its assets.

Trump also assured that there are no concerns about user data security at the moment. He has not yet discussed the matter with Chinese President Xi Jinping but said he would “at the right time.”

Interestingly, despite the ongoing uncertainty around TikTok, the White House has launched its own official TikTok account, drawing attention and mixed reactions from the public.
