ReOrbit, a Finland-based company, has raised €35 million (around $38M) to build a European alternative to SpaceX’s Starlink, TechCrunch reported. This marks the largest funding round in the company’s history.
The company specializes in modular satellite platforms and aims to establish an independent satellite communications infrastructure across Europe, offering secure and fast data services tailored to regional standards.
The funds will support satellite development, hardware testing, and deployment. ReOrbit plans to launch its first satellite in 2026, positioning itself as a strategic competitor in the rapidly growing space connectivity market.
